A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

A bullet hell, except you play as a slow moving yet energetic magma snail named Maggie. Instead of relying on your directional movement like most bullet hells, you must grapple and swing around to have any chance of making it to the end.

Made for the Bullet Hell Jam 2023 in 10 days with the theme of LIMITED (In this case, limited basic movement options). Expect a lack of polish, dubious game balance, and a bug here or there (but hopefully nothing game ruining). I expect gameplay to take between 5 to 20 minutes, depending on how well the mechanics click for you.

This game is my first time releasing what I consider a mostly finished project. I learned a lot, and I hope you enjoy the game.

My two co-creators, Emelia-K and Nin-tan as credited down below, were a massive part of getting the project finished.

Tested and developed for Windows. There is a Linux build, but I am not sure if this full release works, as only earlier builds were tested.

How to Play:

There is a tutorial in game, but I shall list aspects for reference here:

  • Move with WASD
  • Left click to fire a grappling hook
  • Cancel the grappling hook with right click
  • Grapple onto anything green
  • Collect blue cubes to power up
  • Stay grappled and avoid getting hit to build combo
  • Bump into the purple-placeholder-cylinder boss to deal your built up damage
  • Hold shift to turn off the grappling auto-aim feature and instead aim true in the direction of the cursor
